U-codes (U0100, U0121, U0140 and similar) mean one computer in your car stopped talking to another. Usually that's a power, ground, or wiring problem — not a failed module. Test the battery, grounds, and connectors before buying anything expensive.

  4. 4If several U-codes set at once, suspect a shared power, ground, or network wiring fault — not several failed modules.
  5. 5Replace a module only after power, ground, and wiring are verified. Most modules need shop or dealer programming.
